“When I get to the things on my list that don't bring me joy, I change my environment.” - Danielle Bornowski
When I was a new mom, struggling to figure all the things out, someone told me the secret to surviving parenthood.
When your kid is upset and you’ve checked the basics (diaper and bottle) and don’t know how to calm them down, change their environment. Take them outside or give them a bath. I can’t tell you how many times those two things calmed an upset baby in our house.
It worked so well with my kids that I started using it on myself in my business.
While I’ve learned the value of outsourcing things in my business that don’t bring me joy, there are still things I have to do that I don’t love.
When I get to those things on my list, I change my environment.
I do the things that I don’t want to do in a place I do want to be.
I LOVE to be outside. I want to sit in the sun, soak up those warm rays on my skin, and hear the trees rustle in the wind.
And when I’m there - in my happy place - no task seems all that bad.
To your success,
Danielle
