“Taking time for yourself (even if it’s only 30 minutes) can completely change your entire week.” - Danielle Bornowski
Do you ever feel like you’ll never get caught up on your to-do list? Have you ever said you’ll do something you really want or need to “when things slow down”? I have. Way too many times.
It’s easy to put off caring for ourselves when we have a never-ending list of things to do, but often when we think we don’t have the time to prioritize ourselves, we need it the most.
I’ve had times where the busier I felt, the less time I took for myself, when in reality, if I had taken some time, I would have freed up more time to do all the things I needed to do.
I’ve been intentional this summer in taking time for myself, regardless of what my task list looks like, and I’m here to tell you that it has been a transformative experience. I don’t need to take much time to rejuvenate before that small amount of time I took opens my creativity to get things on my list done way more quickly than I anticipated them taking.
Taking time for yourself (even if it’s only 30 minutes) can completely change your entire week.
If you haven’t taken time to slow down, go for a walk, read a book, or stare into space recently, you’re due. Set a timer, hold that space, and see what happens as a result!
